- Incense - Virtues & Properties

Originally, what is called "incense" is a resin called "Frankincense", which is taken from a shrub in Ethiopia called "Boswalia Carteri". This resin has been revered since antiquity, when it was burned to honor the gods.

Today, the term "incense" designates all the resins that are burned to create a particular atmosphere.

Like candles, incense uses its powers through the law of correspondence.

Frankincense therefore belongs to the vegetable kingdom. The power of incense comes from the fact that each scent "vibrates" on a certain "frequency", and by breathing it, changes the vibration and frequency of our own body. As a reminder, the "vibration" of negatively charged electrons, grouped around a positively charged nucleus, form matter.

These electrons orbit the nucleus because they are in perpetual motion, although to our limited senses matter appears solid and static.

This "waltz" of electrons, this continual movement, is called "vibration" and the material resulting from a certain assembly can be a piece of meat as well as a color or a perfume.

The "frequency" is the speed or the slowness of this dance, it is the rhythm; like a measure, it marks the movement. The faster the measurement and the more the "matter" disintegrates in our eyes, the less visible and dense it is; the slower the movement, the more the matter is what we call such: the palpable, visible, audible and odoriferous density.
